I'd love another but they start at about £1500 and that's £1500 I don't have. Got a bloke gonna come this week and give me £250 for it which is twice what I'll get for scrap and will at least pay to tax the rallye and fill it with fuel.
Might get a 1.5d saxo or 106 to use as my daily.

Nope no runaway video but I'm glad I stood upwind as I engulfed a whole street (and it's wide enough to have grass verges either side) in thick white smoke.
I'm not doing an XUD11/Cummins swap as I don't have a crane, time or money. Also as awesomly practical as it is realistically I bought it to be an economical daily but it costs me more per mile than the rallye

Getting another daily as soon as I can afford it. Rallye will be getting taxed very soon but sadly the rallye battery is in the ranger as I was on my way to halfords to get it replaced as it's f*cked. Gonna have to cycle to halfords with the battery to get a new one but that involves fixing my bike.

Shitter dude. Very nearly happened to me with one of my pajeros. Luckily I caught mine and it was just a new turbo for me.
Something cool will pop up soon for you to abuse.

Physically, yes, however.
I don't own a crane though
and the cheapest second hand lump on ebay is £700 (nearly what I paid for the truck)
and it needs a turbo
and I don't have a pick up truck to go and get the engine with.

Ffs Chris how long did that last?
I'm sure there's a meme in there somewhere along the lines of "just one more turn couldn't hurt "

I know it was a pump tune but still along the same lines.

Sorry to hear about that chap. I do have a turbo here if the engine had survived.

Jesus christ chris! was just starting to like this project!
Although if i were you i would laugh at his offer of £250. put it on ebay as spares or repairs and get £500 easily from one of the no hassle export buyers.

Someone else has offered me £350 and is on their way to get it and TBH I just CBA to deal with ebay fucktards
It wasn't entirely "just" a pump tune as I had gone for a little more boost but as you cant adjust the wastegate I'd clamped the wastegate feed pipe with some cable ties to restrict it.
I think the turbo was dying as it was screeching every time I stuck my foot down but I had just decided it was the alternator belt and thought nothing of it, this screech had got louder with tuning so was actually probably turbo noise.
It was EPIC fast* for half a mile
*It felt bloody nippy but probably wasn't any quicker than a very lightly tuned DTurbo
