Not an XUD as such but a diesel nonetheless.
If anyone has one or knows there way around this it would be appreciated.
Symptoms; when cold, idle is low, no power, seems like fuel starvation, wont rev properly etc, especially on hills
Tried cures; fuel filter changed, air filter changed, checked the EGR (which has somehow created a whole, solid carbon block post-valve, quite incredible. Will get a pic), de-EGR'd.
I think it maybe a cold idle issue. As it warms up, the idle raises and the power comes back as normal, but takes 5 minutes to warm up.
Any DERV heads got any ideas would be appreciated.

This sounds like the injector pump, have you had the seal replaced on the injector pump? We own a Pajero and had lots of problems but it now runs perfect

These symptoms are 100% fuel pump seals.
I have owned a few of these and I am afraid that is the only explanation for what is going on.
Try a search on POCUK.COM for your problem and I guarantee you will come to this conclusion.

Maybe get an IPP gauge on the pump to see whats going on with pressure? It could highlight an air leak pre-pump that only goes away as the diesel is heated/less viscous

It just is pump seals. No messing about. Owned a few and all symptoms are there.
