So pulled the glowplugs out today among other things and they are all burnt out. Better pull the head off now to check. Best\cheapest place to get a headset.

Its cool I've sold my turbo now so I can fund head off fun next weekend. Also bought an intercooler off a sabb 9-3 aero for 20 off a mate. Just need a couple of pipes now.

So spacers turned up today and they are 15mm not 10mm like stated which is annoying as I bought 10mm longer bolts. These are pictures from nimrods at the back with spacers. Also put them on car to test and they torque up fine as well.
On another note my head gasket turned up today. 5 notch mls. I'm sure 5 notch will be fine.
5 notch

So got the nimrods on. Now got a brake vibration. No idea why. Wheels are torqued up mine. Done a rear wheel bearing at same time that was an arse but that's the rear and the brake vibration is through steering wheel.

Yeah I guessed it was a garret. Lol. The head is coming off this coming week to access things.
Yeah you said it would probably have a t2 on. Couldn't see any markings about what turbo very well though. Was sorta hoping for the td04 11b that came standard with some though. Nit that id use it as an upgrade but would've been a nice starting point.also got offered a t25 for £20 other day but I figure it will be massively laggy

Just figured I could run a bigger turbo down back on the condition its £50 as that's what my new downpipe will cost. I can use my spare xud Mani to bolt on the downpipe that's already on the car. Gotta find a bargin. Lol

So I picked it up tonight. Cost me more in fuel than it did to buy. Bargain id say.
So gearbox mounting. Pipe to the turbo same size as outlet from manifold? And 2 1/2 inch from turbo back.

yeah get it down the back fella.
If you wana go to effort of gearbox mounting, mount a decent blower!
This will be bad enough on your 2.1 without needing to exaggerate the lag!

See I was in two minds about that. As it WILL be changed in September for a box mounted turbo the groundwork is done already. Plus fitting it down the backs gonna be a ball ache. We will see though. I'll measure it up tomorrow and weigh up my options

Reckon it'll go down the back fine, wastegate may be an issue but I'm sure it can be done (or omitted completely...).
You should buy my GT20 when it is for sale in a month or two, bolt on kit, I'm sure we can work out a good deal, you did me a favour with the bits I got from you so it won't be forgotten.

I couldn't de wastegate it. I pikey most things but not that lol. May have to take you up on offer money dependent. May just run this for a while and see. Can see it making reasonable power to be fair.
Would ditch the wastegate if it wasn't my daily. But it is.

You will be able to make it work somehow, probably need to weld an extender onto the wastegate lever and move it out of the way of the steering UJ.
Will let you know when it is up for grabs, you can have first dibs and a discount for the epicly cheap engine and box deal.
Tried a couple of times to get hold of the transit pump fella but he is yet to get back to me.

I'll figure something out to get it down back then. Can always jig the actuator down there somehow.
The transit pump would be awesome but I'm not in any hurry can all go in on my current 9mm for now if needs must. I've got a spare pump to build and swap further down the line.

You sure on that? But won't it make it run hotter? Plus when I upgrade to an 11mm before the next turbo.
On the plus side may spool up faster.
