Slight good news the car now runs!, a mix of different things new coil pack and some new 8 grade plugs and blanked the icv off as its not operating correctly due to being damaged. Seems to idle very well with out it, ill adjust the odle speed and recalibrate the tps tomorrow.
In other news im currently in talks with some one that has a brand new charger that has never been used, fitted or even spun! came off a crate engine. Hopefully i can strike a deal soon.

Bit of a update,

It turned out to be some bad fuel from shell despite it being there 97 fuel. Managed to drain the tank nearly dry and filled the tank with texeco 97 which is what it was mapped on and straight away it was like day and night completely different. In other news i have started to play with the lanuch control function on the ecu, its very additive i will say.

Heres a short video from the exhaust, it was only quick as my workshop neighbors dont like me at the best of times.

i will warn you now, it could kill your wideband ive damaged mine so i plan to replace the sensor and use a angled lambda boss to divert the lambda away from the main stream.

But do it! lol

Thanks sam im still tuning the launch control settings on the ecu so far ive taken alot of fuel out of it.

In other news my new icv has come from buycarparts.co.uk managed to get a genuine valve for £35 delivered, admittedly it did take a week to come.

Havent done alot to the car lately but ive finally made a start on my seat rail and harness points. The original mountings had cracked and bent fairly bad and was noticeable by the passengers seat.  So i removed the original mounting by drilling the spot welds which was very time consuming and some took the floor with it leaving some small holes. I filled the holes with some welds then started to fit the new rail tubes. I have used 26mm cds gas tube which i was given nearly 5 meters for £10. I have also welded in the 5th and 6th harness points using some threaded inserts, I then braced the tube with some 4mm plate and tacked it to the body.

[Image: 0975AAD6-8B93-4135-9F46-91649E118BB2_zps3e12uvcq.jpg]

I then turned my attention to the handbrake surround as it was badly cracked and so was the handbrake lever mounting holes.

[Image: 86C67D5D-B3CA-4884-A586-C65D91915C2E_zpselsucsok.jpg]

I then cut the cracked metal out and plan to plate it and spot weld it to the handbrake mounting.

All for now

Next i will finish fabricating the passenger side rails and get that fully welded in, then seam seal it all and paint.

The last few days ive done some more to the car. Fitted my refurbed set of 32mm calipers and new pads and treated them to some braided hoses.

Ive also bought a hydraulic handbrake as this will be handy for my drag racing and not yobish handbrake turns! and have mounted my bias valve next to it. I yet to mount it but that will be happening over the weekend.

So this turned up yesterday.

[Image: 759185E6-64A5-4464-BB78-E649D8606082_zps9gjei944.jpg]

I got this one from the states and has been removed from a 94' and is the later version with a square inlet and better porting. Has been stored for 5 years and had covered 80k. Being a later model it used a egr valve which has leathered the insides with a thick film of tar! I have started to strip it down for a inspection and clean. I removed the snout to find it full of oil which was a good sign, oil was coloured but i didnt consider it as worn. Either way it will have fresh. I then removed the rotor pack from the case, as being a later model the rotors are coated but unfortunately they were peeling badly and causing score marks in the case as it rotates so i will remove it. I then started to remove the oem pulley from the snout with the puller.

 [Image: 8EE051B8-5A47-4C47-A187-56BD9471588A_zpsnuf8ulif.jpg]

After removing the pulley i found that the snout seal was dry and showed no signs of leaking so ive decided not to disturb it.
Ive made progress with the handbrake and bias valve and got it mounted and in the position im happy with. Made some brake pipes up but im now waiting on my rally design delivered before i can go any further.

not much has happened to the car recently ive finished off the handbrake and the brake lines.

[Image: 60A29F44-28B4-4316-9811-258C9D02E81E_zpsqllbgbjx.jpg]

Ive also discovered a axle squeak so i decided to investigate, no noticable wear or play as expected as it was only built 4 years ago i pulled the arms off to inspect further. I found that water had started to seep in slightly. so ive decided to renew the axle as i had parts in stock anyway, im also changing to 22mm torsion bars and vts trailing arms.

long over due update

Havent had much time to my self lately as the axle work has been manic.

Anyway ive got the new charger fitted and gave it a quick paint.

[Image: F2BA66B8-35BA-424C-A09C-E8C13BF07DDF_zpsznepjmxz.jpg]

I also treated my self to a new beam as my arb seals had let go and water had got in. I also got my hands on some 22mm bars so i fitted them at the same time.

[Image: 548ABFB8-0FC8-4B6F-84C8-F059BC69AB10_zps50aipdet.jpg]

Had to adjust the height slightly due to the bigger bars but got it sitting at a nice height come the end.

[Image: 4413533E-E5FE-4013-9128-214410CACA9F_zpszfxvpz07.jpg]

My inner bumper support bars had begin to rot away so i set about making some from a piece of cds tubing. I wasnt willing to pay someone £50+ for some its just not my style . This is what they came out like and was pretty happy with the results.

[Image: A37901F6-DB50-45B0-A7ED-4FB0882A86A9_zpso9zyui0o.jpg]

In other news id been looking for a while now for another set of wheels that i could use for my drag slicks and james had listed his team dynamics pro race 3's so i quickly message him and managed to pick them up from him. I was surprised that they cleared the 4 pots with ease. Im having them blasted by a friend next week and then to have them powder coated white.

yeah i was stunned with the clearance issue but glad they fit as i HATE spacers ! the 1.2's i cant get my finger between the spokes and caliper and the 3's i can get my hole hand between them.

Yeah seen people run 6 pots behind 3's I suspose because they not flat faced that s where you get the extra clearance from.
