I did a cfd analysis of a windscreen defrosting.

Erm no lol, can coach lots of things but that's what I do on a Monday and Wednesday. Normally teaching swimming.

Ahh, thought I'd found a fellow gymnast for a second there :-P what age/level do you coach?

I'm ok, i have to be able to do a fair amount in order to coach it. I did quite a bit of adult gym at uni. But when/if you see me you'll understand i'm not a natural gymnast haha.
I teach from walking/18 months to end of high school age, about 15-16 normally. So a very big varied range. BG coach and award system, GG, Artistic and Trampolining.
What do you do?

Sweet! I've only been doing it since I started uni, so 3 and a bit years. Artistic, almost entirely floor for me, with a little bit of tramp and an occasional go on some apparatus.

Drove a van around for a bit. Then had ozone drive (hoon) another van around roundabouts in Ledbury, killing time and getting paid. Iveco Dailys really aren't made for hooning.

- Did daily checks, someone's doing something nasty to a machine, attempt to figure out WTF they've done and why it keeps crashing.
- Installed Windows Server 2012 on a VM - reminded myself how f*cking atrocious it is.
- Played with IdM/FreeIPA.
- Got annoyed with Sun Grid Engine's qconf tool - if you're interested why, have a read of the manpage and I'm sure you'll see why - http://gridscheduler.sourceforge.net/htm...qconf.html
- Waited for some shit to compile (lots of this)

Oh Pac stuff. Lovely kit Rolleyes

Well, after spending 3 hours in kwikfit wanting a puncture repaired and coming out with 2 new tyres, i had 2 calls including one which I've very recently done a panel change on which always worries me a bit as i always think shit, what have i missed.
So i got there, panel in fault and no power light on, emergency lights on, lift not working, computers, tvs not working...SSE outside at a big hole in the road looking rather confused and worried....

"Sir, you've had a power cut"
"Well why is you're f*cking alarm broken then?!"
Err i wonder......Angry

And a pic of the install seeing as Carter has started something off here lol

PAC wasn't installed on our recommendation. I hate the kit plus it looks looks awful. But does a job.

The only thing i do like that PAC have done is the watch link access fobs. Quite neat that you don't need a fob or card on you. Can just touch your watch on the reader but i think a few others have done this now as well (Paxton?)

I've not seen that before. But most readers now are multi - class and will read almost anything. Unlike the older 1 prox readers. You can use contact less bank cards on most systems now.

Paxton is nearly as poor as PAC my boss calls it the Lada of access control. We rarely use it.

Call centre fwends! Inlove

I spent all morning preparing a disciplinary hearing pack for someone I was going to sack, who then resigned right at the start of the hearing, so that was a waste of time. Then I listened to 11 calls and despaired at the massive job I have ahead of me to get my new team to perform. Then gave a briefing to 2 teams who did nothing but bitch and moan. But then I finished and went to the pub, and I guy off my old team who'd just got a secondment in the same role as me bought me a few beers for helping him get it, and that made it all worthwhile Smile
