brilliant job with the pillar drill!
Saw the write up in the magazine for this yesterday...nice one
Thanks, i wasnt very happy with the write up as alot of it is crap! The wrong people were thanked for a start. Meaning i had to explain to those that had helped and put the time into the car, but i guess this is what you get. Im now looking forward to getting all the pictures from the photographer.
On better news i have been driving the car around lightly and restaining my self from giving it a boot full, i have now plumbed the icv back into the boost pipe as i was loosing a consideral amount of boost through it. Im now happy with the charger and that its performing well and is heathly, im awaiting the new pulley to give me the desired boost level i plan to run at. Since driving it around ive noticed the consideral amount of more torque that the engine is giving over the old setup. I am now booked in with sandy at his magic shop for a remap next month hopefully i will come away with a good result. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4NFSrEa...e=youtu.be

I'm sorry it was how I was raised, I was starved of oxygen and kept in a dark room as a child. I'm trying to improve my methodology slowly

Loving the bench drill setup too. Will be interesting to see what the new figures are. There must be a pretty huge grin factor to that setup in a 205

Ive been driving the 205 as much as i can and getting as many miles on the new setup as i can, ive only had one fault which was the vacuum pipe blowing off the map sensor. Im now waiting on my new pulley for the charger now that the charger is happy, It is currently spinning too slow and under performing. Ive bought a new boost gauge recently as the old one lied and i also bought a new aem wideband, now i can keep a eye on my fueling etc.
Ive started to prepare for my mapping session or day as it was last time ive bought a set of new plugs that will go in once sandy has a half decent map in the car. After a few messages to him he decieded that i went with some ngk bcr8es im currently on 7's but he advised as im now running more boost it would be wise. They are listed from a ford escort rs or aston. Stef

not a lot has happened with the car lately, the new pulley has arrived from the states so ive got that on the car along with another belt.
I had the exhaust off to rewrap it as it would be on the rollers and dispite it having a fuel tank shield I didn't want to risk it. Yesterday I went to cheddar gorge with the 205 gang for a mini meet and a drive around the lanes. It was a good day but I was struggling with belt slip through out the day due to the smaller pulley. After trawling through the yank forums about pulley slip and it was apparent that they use extra idlers to give more belt coverage around the s/c pulley. So I decided to make a extra idler up, I used the old tensioner pulley from my m45 setup this is what I came up with. After a quick test drive it appeared it has worked well and with less belt tension. Stef

Today was mapping with sandy down at srd in launceston. The day started out great car was performing well but later we encountered a flickering tps signal which caused a issue. Was traced down to a dicky wiring plug, which we managed to fix temporary.
After that was fixed sandy continued to map as normal, Car performed perfectly and saw a max air temp of 39deg while on the rollers. As the map progressed the car was struggling to get the power down and was spinning in the rollers. We saw well over 200 bhp atw while spinning, there is no real offical "figure" but i was told it was around 220bhp atw but gauge went off the scale. Then we did abit of road mapping and the car wanted more fuel. Overall im very happy with the resault, car feels more positive and clean performing and returns good mpg. Stef

If i was really wanted a fiqure i would have sat on it but im not one for fiqures as i dont believe in them to much, aslong as its reliable drives well and is performing thats good enough for me. The fueling would be totally different again on the rollers as the road mapping session proved. This is a light pull during the mapping. http://s10.photobucket.com/user/skyline_...z.mp4.html

Video from saturday from drag racing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCRiQbwCObc I struggled all day as i could hardly use first gear due to the increased bottom end power. I will be purchasing a plated diff at some point and that should help. I came away with a best of 14.00 seconds.
