Would rather have a more permanent solution tbh, like something sat in the coin bit

I know what you mean, couldn't you slice into the cigarette lights with a usb cable?

That's exactly what I'm after where did you get the thing from and does it charge your phone well?

That came from Aldi at the grand price of £2.99! And yeah, the usb would charge the phones, but i usually used the usual car charger anyway.

Make sure you check how many mA the outputs are on the USB ports as most of the cheaper ones are only 500mA. Most smart phones nowadays will struggle to charge on anything less than 1000mA. 2000mA is the best option!

Wire into switched live with spare 3A. Fix USB end into coin holder etc.

Meh, havent got the car any more anyway, so the new owner will have to put up with its cheapness. Always did me right though.

^^ above!
Most phones these days need a good 1.5-2A@5v to charge quickly - especially if being used for GPS/Choons in the car.

WTF!?
This thread was at the top of the Electrical section yesterday evening! I promise! Do you ever normally see me reviving threads from the ark!? Frankly you barely see me posting in any threads unless I really can be arsed

I was gonna say, i think you're JUST past the limit for posting in the for sale section! You sure you were on Page 1 of the electrical section, and not page 3 or something? |
