should be ok, as long as the other three are done up tight. But you ideally need them all.
Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.

and you could wind the nut on, it'd hold it a bit
In fact, get a quote from a welder to fix it, bearing in mind it'd have to be stripped bare, then get the courier to pay it. Then take the money and fit it anyway Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.

Ive sent one with myhermes and they snapped the pulley, so I used a 24hr Yodel option this time.

Seriously, it'll be fine, just make sure all the others are done up, that end of the pump locates into the pump bracket anyway due to the register on the nose, as long as you've got two on you'll be fine.
I wouldn't say it's worth the hassle of stripping and rebuilding the pump, unless you intend to reseal and put new vanes in.

Err, am I the only one thinking it should of been packaged better..

Zach said its not worth fitting as its the cam side top one which is most movement from the pump happens + there isnt anythning for the stud to remotely grip to I may just get it reshelled (08-04-2014, 12:40 PM)silverzx Wrote: Err, am I the only one thinking it should of been packaged better.. it was very well wrapped mate the smokey old bus that sounds like a tractor...

I wouldn't put that pump back on the car.
I once ran mine on three bolts (couldn't be ar5ed to tighten the bottom front one up) and it ended up coming loose, the other two studs snapped, the taper bolt went on holiday and the pump was held in place by the pipes. The mounting bracket also ended up being changed as the hole had elongated into an oval. Don't do it wrong, do it right and do it once. |
