f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - devils_fuel - 05-04-2014 At Zachs and we've looked at my refurbed Bosch pump and the courier has done this to it !!! Can it still be fitted or has it had it??? ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Piggy - 05-04-2014 I am SOOOO not happy about this.... ![]() on phone to courier now RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Jonny81191 - 05-04-2014 should be ok, as long as the other three are done up tight. But you ideally need them all. RE: f*ck !!! What I was thinkin, I only run three, two at cambelt end, one at bottom corner RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Jonny81191 - 05-04-2014 and you could wind the nut on, it'd hold it a bit In fact, get a quote from a welder to fix it, bearing in mind it'd have to be stripped bare, then get the courier to pay it. Then take the money and fit it anyway ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Teddy - 05-04-2014 what firm was it as i posted a pump as bashed to f*ck snapped the pully off it that was sent with ups ![]() ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Piggy - 05-04-2014 Ive sent one with myhermes and they snapped the pulley, so I used a 24hr Yodel option this time. Not happy ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Tom - 05-04-2014 Oh no ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Paul_13 - 05-04-2014 Avoid yodel like the plague! RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Daniel306 - 05-04-2014 Id weld that lug back on without striping the pump, just do it in stages RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Ruan - 08-04-2014 Seriously, it'll be fine, just make sure all the others are done up, that end of the pump locates into the pump bracket anyway due to the register on the nose, as long as you've got two on you'll be fine. I wouldn't say it's worth the hassle of stripping and rebuilding the pump, unless you intend to reseal and put new vanes in. RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - silverzx - 08-04-2014 Err, am I the only one thinking it should of been packaged better.. ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Zach said its not worth fitting as its the cam side top one which is most movement from the pump happens + there isnt anythning for the stud to remotely grip to ![]() I may just get it reshelled ![]() (08-04-2014, 12:40 PM)silverzx Wrote: Err, am I the only one thinking it should of been packaged better.. it was very well wrapped mate ![]() RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Piggy - 08-04-2014 Tbh, if Ruan says its ok, its ok. He had I'm sure fitted more of these than I have had hot dinners RE: f*ck !!! Shall I fit this pump? - Alex - 08-04-2014 I wouldn't put that pump back on the car. I once ran mine on three bolts (couldn't be ar5ed to tighten the bottom front one up) and it ended up coming loose, the other two studs snapped, the taper bolt went on holiday and the pump was held in place by the pipes. The mounting bracket also ended up being changed as the hole had elongated into an oval. Don't do it wrong, do it right and do it once. |
