Can't wait to get it!
Plan on tidying it up a bit! And then who knows!

Haha you're keen Steve! That's good though :-)
Anyway, it's a totally original 205 Roland Garros so a 205 gti with a 1360cc engine basically
White leather gti interior gti clocks, bumpers etc and 1.6 gti running gear iirc so it's certainly no slouch in the twistys :-P
Really simple engine but 85bhp and a twin butterfly carb make it pretty fun, certainly quicker to 70mph than a stage 1 Dturbo
Hopefully get the love it deserves, and enjoy owning a 205 rarer than the common gti ;-) haha
Would be an epic sleeper with a Tu5j4 conversion ;-)

AFAIK these are basically a special edition 205 XS and thus share the same mechanicals.
205 XS's are great fun in their own right and much under-rated. I loved my old one and would seriously consider another if a decent condition one turned up at a sensible price.
Suspension is different to GTi's though - it's basically uprated base model using slightly thicker ARB's.

I am keen :p
Can't wait to drive a 205 again, and it's my first petrol car!
Anyone know anything about changing the carbs for better ones or anything?
It doesn't have black arches no.

It is now home!
After Zakk being delayed by dum-dums engine change Mitch and I decided to go get the 205 instead of waiting for him to deliver it.
Got there and observed the very end of the engine change and provided helpful comments such as 'splendid'
Drove back in the dark and rain which was a little scary. But still good fun
First petrol ive ever had and its awesome. So revvy.
Got home from work today and the sun was out so i took it for its first proper blast around some local hills, was amazing!
Such fun to drive, probably one of the best driving experiences of my life, great roads and its just so much fun to drive,
espeically after 4.5k
Very happy with the purchase, glad to have another Peugeot and especially a 205!
Probably going to change the steering wheel for my old 205 gti one, as the white one is a bit naff, although i want to keep it pretty standard and roland garrosish so i'm in two minds!
Anyway, pictures:
The interesting interior:
The beast:
And a picture next to my other car :p

Yes its much more fun then the merc but i wouldnt want to drive it to work everyday
and yes considering some different wheels but wouldnt mind keeping it standard, and 13" equals cheap tyres

How can this be your first petrol?! You've been missing out man. Glad you're happy with it, looks like a good buy . I think a GTi wheel would be better than the white one.
My mate had an XS version which I believe had the same engine, it went really well.

That is awesome! I'm not usually keen on 205s but I'd drive that!
Interior is epic, and I don't think you'll lose originality by swapping the wheel with a black one.
Also 13s look massive on that lol, thought they were 15s from the pics!

Nice car!
IMO swap the wheel if you want and just don't throw the old one away...
You could keep it relatively standard and just keep it clean and tidy and it'll hold its value at a minimum I'd have thought.
