Haha I can imagine! I have a new battery to pick in work Tuesday so I should be able to start mine again haha. My original battery was a 063, but this new one is an 013 it fits in the battery tray so I'm guessing it will work?

Yeah I'm personally more of a fan of petrols, I'm getting a 013 battery Tuesday, it fits the tray so I'm presuming it will be okay?

A man with good taste then... As long as it fits and the terminals are round the right way it should be fine, doesn't take much to spin over a 1.4 petrol.

Good to hear Smile can you decat a 1.4? Or will it fail the MOT

A decat on any petrol after 1992/3 will fail an MOT and technically be illegal. Nothing to stop you putting the cat back on for the MOT though...

I used to think this till I owned a diesel. But I've never driven a big engined petrol car, so I'll revise this in a few weeks.

What's the benefits of a diesel?

MPG, low down torque (long as its turbo'd!) and the governer, meaning you can be lazy and drive on just the clutch, up hill, from a standing start....

Oh and the fact that you can remap them easily and cheaply if you know how for an extra kick. Wink

That said, petrols rev, make noise and can be bought for peanuts....and don't break as often either usually!

The one and only reason you wouldn't buy a petrol: MPG. There are some people that prefer diesels over petrols in other respects, these people are mentals Wink.
