Locking wheel nut help

Hi guys not sure witch section this covers. Basically when I changed the clutch on the ph1 my partners brother tightend the front wheels with a air gun also the. Locking nuts Angry. Now I need to remove the wheels and the locking key is fecked its that tight. Used a friends locking but remover with the impact. Any other ideas. Here how it looks

Smash a socket over it, biggest one that you can fit in the bolt hole (giggidy). Failing that, heat and a chisel to smash it round, go careful with the alloy though. Or you could go and buy a locking wheel nut remover tool set, but that seems a lot of money for one use.

He has tryd a removal tool already. Would hitting the wheel from behind snap the head off ?

Tried a socket of the centre but to and no joy. Don't think I'll get a socket round the edge as it's tight to the wheel

Iv removed wheels from scrap cars by hitting them from behind. It stripes the threads out of the hub. best thing to do is drill it out

Weld a nut on it lad and get a socket on it let the weld cool properly first though

Never thought those to be of any use.


My vote is weld a nut onto it, preferably a big one, try and weld round the inside and the outside of it, depending on how much you value your wheels.
Doesnt even own a 306.

nearly a day cause i spent half of it in A&E after hitting my wrist twice with a hammer trying the socket method Blush

As said drill it or weld a nut onto it, some of those lock nuts are very hard you need a good drill bit or you'll not even mark it.
