Hi guys guess who's back in a 306
even better its a 6 and astor,my brief was just to find a cheap 6/rallye and track it,but this came up and just had to have it,quite fancied a decent coloured one.

So atm I have paid a sizeable chuck of deposit and will be getting the car within the next 2 weeks. The pictures are from sale thread and previous add(car done 5k between owners)

The car unfortunately had Hg failure, not like I'm not used to that
but all smiles as my new engine is being picked up(literally by myself) Thursday.     Its has had  compression test, leak down and cambelt down not to shabby for £250
So that s going in after a good steam clean of the engine bay and lick of paint for the block and cylinder head.As my last project got abit mental this will definitely not (he says)so either going full track cage, buckets and harness s or go oe+ look but still do plenty of trackdays just less of a brutal look.I'm going see how nice the interior is yet though is a major ball ache and lots of flashing dash lights if I do.

Here s a list of the spec so far:
rich w roller bearing
miles solid rear beam mounts
miles gear linkages
ash s hybrid anti roll bar
omp strut brace
k&n induction kit
stainless steel braided lines
nissens rad
heko wind deflectors
black masks
rich w flywheel
rich w pulley
bm lower mount
lowered on eibachs springs
So they's a far bit not included new clutch, cable, new driveshafts!!

Time for some photo then
(from 2 adds but looks the same, plates are different as it currently on a private one atm)

Pretty awesome looks to good to strip,i ll actually see it with my on eyes in 2 weeks or so,get me time to paint the block and source a few more bits.

Short answer is YES I have every intension to get back on track, but just wondering how extreme to go?

buckets seat everyday for 4 years then having a normal car is awesome until you get the rush to hoon it and find yourself hanging on it the wheel for dear life!!

Cheers mate may have less to do as im leaning toward the oe look and get the suspension properly set it(nearly they)
as when the rallye was n/a though it was great on track for power but lacked in the bends and braking.

Cheers mate, can't wait torelativelyarted on it.should be turning up on a flatbed next Friday then can hopefully get the engine in the same day.Be nice to drive a relatively 'sorted' 306 see how good the roller bearings, mounts, arb and torsion bars are.

I've found a day at Snetterton on 26th of February, which all being well should be attending.
