Had a brief glance at the wiring and didn't like what I saw!
Finally fixed the speedometer by replacing the cable so can finally see how fast I'm actually going again. Still have a nice boost leak (I think) as it's running 15 psi, a random drop from 18. It sounds like it's pushing a lot of air and not going anywhere. My main beam has decided to randomly decide when it wants to work that wasn't particularly fun this evening. Think I need a stalk or possibly new HIDs as they work on sidelight (not main or full). Perhaps the cold doesn't agree with them. Also need a few other 205 bits if anyone's breaking one..

What bits do you need mate?
18-12-2013, 09:10 AM
I need a blower motor silver boy take your stalk apart and see if you can sort it, I done it on mine when my washers were dodgy!
Doesnt even own a 306.

Take it off, 2 screws on the bottom then, take the metal clips off holding the 2 halves together and see what's on inside.

Slippery grease mate I just use multi purpose grease for everything lol I'm sure Vaseline would work fine as well.

Check the pumps not leaking, alternators don't like oil and that. Don't want you killing another one.

Hopefully it's getting bosch put on soon so shouldn't be a problem either way. When it was fitted I accidentally put the + and - on the wrong way and it smoked a bit so think it's done well to last this long to be honest!

How the fcuk did you manage that?!
ahh bugger, doesn't look like that tickled :S

Was a good refresher fitting the bosch, it's been a while haha.
Had a bit of an issue with the tensioner on the cambelt being a bit reluctant to move up or down and the issues with the oil breather hose on the rocker cover. Apart from that it was a nice job :-) Oh and it ran like shit on first start, moment of inspiration, advanced the pump a few degrees and instantly ran perfectly haha So gay about hitting the front, especially after all the careful hammerite application the night before :-P Only picture I took

On another note I put brand new Bosch Duraterms in this bad boy when we fitted the 11mm and it hasn't cured my smokey start up issue. I'm a bit stumped why it still starts rough as bugger!

Don't see the point, it'll only crease in the opposite way and it's better poking out then in if you ask me. Had a quick look at what it could potentially be worth and have a few bits... As a rough idea to what I could recoup from the car and my XUD stock pile: ARP XUD Head Studs £200 GT2052V £80 K14 Bolt On £40 TD04L Bolt On £150 306 FMIC Kit Bolt On £150 Stack EGT Gauge, Probe & Adapter £40 Stack 35 PSI Boost Gauge £30 11mm Rebuilt Lobb Pump, lines, injectors £150 Aftermarket backbox £25 2.5" steel bends, straight & various bits £50 205 STDT Clocks & Loom £40 XUD Cambelt Kit £30 Bosch Duraterm glow plugs £15 9mm Bosch Pump, lines, injectors £80 Non-EGR inlet x 2 £20 each 7 x 205 GTi Speedlines £150 205 STDT exhaust £15 XUD engine x 2 £50 each Scrap value for 205 & 306 shells £80 each and various other random bits. Could probably get a grand back if I tried and start over or just drive my Datsun. Someone find me a wing, bumper and headlight in their local scrappys pretty please!!

I'll have clocks and loom, td04 and pump if you break!
Oh and boost gauge My mate will most likely have the head studs Ryans got a GTi shell on his drive he needs rid of by the way |
