So this "weekends" work has finally finished this morning when swapped the last hoses and put on new hand brake cables.
Didn't wash her in the end, just CBA but might do it at some point during the week (along with finishing getting the BMW seats in). So a list of whats been done: GTi6 rear beam lowered 40mm (goes 60mm on the car as the 6 beam is 20mm lower anyway) Braided hoses all round Mintex pads and discs Bleed through with dot 5.1 fluid New hand brake cables Mid box back box conversion Removed spare wheel and carrier New pair of Bridgestone Turanzas on the front Waxoyled everything from the fuel tank back Grille sprayed white And a couple of pics

That said not bad considering she hasn't been washed since FCS.

Will be very close to getting the 2.2 in once the car has had an MOT

Might take him off and send him through the washing machine/tumble dryer

So to keep Jamie and others happy I have done myself a new sig. I have re touched the colors slightly to give it a little bit of a HDR look.
02-11-2013, 08:28 PM

Haha fair enough, youll not be missed in the woods anyways..

So an interesting fact from my trip to the scrap yard a couple of days ago, the car weighs 1180kg with with a quarter tank of fuel so if it was full it would probably be exactly the same weight as my old GTi6.
03-11-2013, 08:16 PM
For a sw that seems light, has it shed some weight along the road at some time?
03-11-2013, 08:19 PM
Apart from bit of rust, sparewheel and back box no. Id of expected to add it really with bigger wheels, bigger brakes and better speakers really.
03-11-2013, 09:04 PM
No I don't think it needs a spoiler, maybe a splitter.
