So, a list then:
Samass - 133.5bhp, 190lbft (ish) Ginge - 154bhp Fooby - 160bhp Max - 190bhp I forget who else rolled, so someone else can edit the list accordingly, people can also fiddle their numbers cuz i dont know them for sure. Anyway, here's the not so nad's graph Ignoring the power figure as my rpm was only estimated, but i think the torque figure should be pretty much spot on. f*cking chuffed Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club

Lol cheers for that! She sure is a little beast lol
I'm having a few "thermal management" issues hehe, and an oil containment problem or ten It pegs a 20psi gauge, probably in the region of 40psi...welded waste gate not such a good idea, its destroyed my turbo haha and blows hot air down the inlet lolz Standard clutch (f*cked) Which slips like a bastard when it's hot Haha feel free man! Taking it up the hill too Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club

30-06-2013, 08:59 PM
Oh yeah for sure, the engine is f*cked, the turbo is blowing hot air, oil temps are thru the roof, the engine is totally standard bar the turbo and a few necessary add ons. Lots more to be had

Matt, sort your vids out dude. Some good results there though, if possibly a bit optimistic. Was Fooby the only one with a working tacho lol?
01-07-2013, 08:13 AM
Pretty much Alex lol
There was a 106 xsi that had one i think... Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club

Ah that's a pity, be nice to find a dyno that's willing to do it properly one of these days. Not that it's a problem for me, just seems a shame for you guys without to have to put up with half a job.
Meant to ask how they were as rolling roads go, worth using again you reckon?

They were a lot better than ray west, the guys were pretty sound, pretty chilled. I'd use them again, maybe more for a 'proper' run as opposed to a shoot out, but I'd be happy organising another day there if there was interest.
I know people will have issues or whatever with the accuracy of the results, but st the end of the day, if you're guessing the revs, what can you expect lol. I don't out that down to the fault of the operator, i feel they did fair enough. Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club

What's wrong with my vids? Ill upload to YouTube at some point

Um, well as i understand videos they're meant to be like moving pictures, whereas yours look like this - [image: E45236HVF-345HG-blahblah...4557] - and don't move at all. :p
Oh yeah, absolutely, and i don't want to drag that argument in here. I would have thought they'd have a tachometer somewhere on site though, they're not exactly expensive... Besides, it's not as if that'll be an uncommon problem at RR meets for this forum, i reckon it could be a fairly important consideration for future.
01-07-2013, 11:48 AM
Yep exactly. The guys there are pretty reasonable tho, and while they weren't massive fans of the diesels cuz of the smoke lol they might well be willing to accommodate something in the future

Hahaha yeah I did notice the lack of proper extraction.
01-07-2013, 01:31 PM
The extraction wasn't too bad, ideally they should have a pipe right off the exhaust, but the fact that they had to keep the doors shut because of the sites noise limits and stuff meant it was hard for the system to cope

Glad to see someone else mopping up fluids at a rr day for a change.
Do any of you have any idea how far out the rpm might be compared to where your peak power feels on the road and cars with the same box and a working speedo/tacho.
01-07-2013, 07:35 PM
Look at the dyno graph and the point the gov kicks and drops.
It seems fairly spot on..

Hard to say, it'll have been different for each car obviously, but i cant really guess at what mine would be

The tacho on my car is fully working. And power and rpm feels spot on when driving it.
