In 2 of my 1.4s it was working after a regas......I didn't use it though as it uses too much fuel.

In one Golf it worked for about a day, probably woulda worked if I'd regassed it, in the other it didn't at all. In the Vectra it works but isn't particularly cold, but has already been regassed twice in 6 years.

Air con is just a con tbh, it only seems to work well in new cars lol, nearly have to defrost the inside of the windscreen with the AC on in mum's Swift. lol But I prefer 'eco' climate to air con anyway, when it just uses fan speed to control the temp, doesn't waste fuel and doesn't bring on those brain freeze kinda headaches.

Sunroof OR AC usually tbh, don't often get both unless they were chosen when it was made.

Ah that must be it then, I have a sunroof. Couldn't give a f*ck really, even if it works you only use it a couple of weeks a year, and even then it's not really necessary. If you live in Arizona fair enough but West Yorkshire? Nah, sod it.

To be fair, it might work, it just isn't fitted...

Had 3 with aircon, none of them worked. My current one has a receipt for work done to fix the aircon for every year since it left the forecourt, most of them running well into triple figures LOL!

Won't lose anything if it doesn't work anyway as they leak test the system first usually.

Same. I'm curious if all it will take is a re-gas... but it'll most likely be removed for running intercooler pipework.

None of my 306's have had air con.
