We got the bottom bolt then, wo just the higher up one to find....hmm....
All our bolts are out we're just struggling to separate the gear box. Defferntly thrust bearing gone as we pulling plastic out. Just hoping there's no damage to gear box.

dont forget to remove the clutch fork arm pin before you pull the box off

Just got the get the spleen off. Just goin to buy a stud extractor. Think we just going to get the box off fit clutch and call it a day today.

And yeah, you'll never get it out without a stud remover lol, was difficult even with it!

There we go clutch it out. And the thrust bearing is abliterated!

I think the people who changed the clutch last. Just did clutch and pressure plate. Cos they was luk and thrust bearing was Valeo.
So may it be a lesson to all the cheap skates out there. If your takin the box off do the lot together .

Mine has taken so long because everything is seized! The hub nut we had breaker bar on it and my weight.... It just laughed at us. Didn't budge. So we took the whole hub out.

We took the hub on the gear box side out. Because we couldn't menouver the gear box out. Because everything shattered i wanted gear box off to make sure it's ok.

Yeah we did on one side. Was seized though. Then tried other side didn't wanna go. Everything under my car is seized. Took garage 12 hours to lower beam.

That is the main problem with older cars, well pugs and fords anyway, everything on the golf is easy to undo lol............not that thats much use atm!

or if you o it make sure you put the bearing in properly! because whoever did it before me put the thrust bearing on the plate back to front! god knows how it worked!
