clutch cable change.
#1
hi all, been helping an elderly neighbor out to change a clutch cable.. last week i did it in decent time although it was a bit of a pig we got there and it made the pedal a lot lighter for him.

2.0 HDI W reg

i did have a job putting the cable back on, first i put it on the pedal end and then the clutch release arm, we used a pry bar to push the release arm in so i could get the cable on it.

yesterday though the cable came off the clutch pedal end and i can't see why, it all seemed fine.. i pressed it and slipped my foot off the pedal a few times so it would auto adjust a bit.

i'm going to go over later soon and re connect the pedal for him but there must be an easier way than having to use a pry bar on the release arm?

any advice? i'm thinking i could tie some strong wire on the pedal end of the cable while he pulls it so i can connect it..

thanks for reading Blush
