just bought a golf gt tdi, finding one thats a clean example and have decent mileage for less than 2k that isnt worthy to be launched in the skip is fairly hard, id been looking for months...

Not sure what doesn't make sense....the reason people buy hdis is cos they're cheap for what you get.....if theyre not cheap, there's much better cars out there for 2k.

I paid £750 for mine. Which is w reg 146k on clock with a full service history (book was full as it was service every 6k body work was perfect for the age. Id probably save £1200 for a good one these days.

This thread has run its course. People have said it's not worth that price, if you still want to put it up at £1,900 then don't let us get in the way. If you've had genuine interest then bite their hands off.
