Dont get me wrong a FMIC will help, but no way as much as a better turbo...
Yeh I abuse the absolute shit out of the blocks, ive never had any shell issues.. even on this engine I pulled, and I suspect its had bent rods for a long time because it used to be on a high booster 11mm/T2 setup, and have previously killed another block like that... also there was tons of solid burnt on oil gunk up the side of the piston which couldnt have happened in the past 2 days. I still stand by them dieing from advance/boost and not rpm....
The experience ive had with HDI rods is limited, im basing alot of my expectations on how darrens was setup before... 6.5 grand and silly advance.... The hdi rods will quite easily be reliable at 200hp, providing your not making that at 1500rpm I guess i'll find out how this goes with rods now...
Quick update anyway heads back on and other shit, pretty much gotta put pump back on now, and then go and bed the f*ck out the rings!!!!
