its just the stitching you need to undo, its very common to need to remove a fixed buckle for the rear straps if you bought the wrong type.
if you mean aircraft style twist to release rather than the push button then always go for the proper twist, its much safer, you wont find a push button in any competition car, any decent harness will be E marked so will pass an MOT fine (if your tester isn't a dick)
I'd always go 5/6 point btw.
