Yesterday was a good day!
after French car show and the supposedly 2hr open pit track time yesterday I did a full day track day at Llandow circuit
so Friday night i packed the car ready to fuel and set off in the morning
6:30 Saturday set off to the fuel station filled the car and 2x20ltr jerry's with V-power, then set off up the motorway to south Wales
an hour later i had to stop at the gate keeper and pay £6.60 to enter Wales via the Bridge
arrived at Llandow circuit at 8:30.
went straight to the office to sign on
then back to the car to unpack and ready the car,
9:30 was the drivers brief, but by then id have changed to my track tyres and gained quite some interest in my car from other drivers.
drivers briefing explained how the day was going to work
4 groups of 10 cars for 15 mins each twice so track staff could asses driving standards
first two laps would be under yellow for sighting laps,
then before lunch we would go full open pit maximum 10 cars on track
I was in the 3rd group Novice! the first two groups supposedly had experience of the circuit
The track.....
Its short, its quick,
from track entrance its controlled by the staff via red green light as the on coming traffic is blind to you
basicly go on green.
into right, left, right, then long sweeping right to back straight, flat in 4th back to 3rd to straight line the chicane at the end,
power the long sweeping right onto the main straight, 4th, hard brake 3rd,2nd, hard Left.
the long sweeper onto the main straight you can proper 4 wheel drift, Oh i wish i had that Diff in it would be a good trial
by the end of the day the left right left at the end of the main straight i could proper drift RWD style
the track Eats the front left tyre ive managed to kill my set of yokos that have been hanging on forever
