Any Ph2 onwards XUD/DW8 loom should work absolutely fine.
Although no need to fart about using the DW8 loom as that has all the advance ECU bullshit in it - a Ph2 XUD loom would be your best bet IMHO.
Only thing that MIGHT need changing from memory is to use a solenoid feed from the glowplug relay, but it's not difficult - all the starter pins, speed sense pins, oil pressure etc pins all work fine, from memory you'd need to just swap a temperature sensor out for the Bitron unit which is diff on Ph3, but then it should work. I basically did precisely this conversion with mine (just that I actually used an XUD, but same theory applies) just plugged in my old Ph2 loom and other than rev counter on the Ph3 clocks, from memory it just worked.
