Yeah, I'm afraid I concur with Choppin, looks like a respray job to me. Would have suggested finding someone who's handy with a machine polisher, but if the scratch is through the paint to the metal underneath, no amount of machine polishing will help.
Sorry to see that mate, had the same thing done to my DT, and I was furious when I saw it!
