Keyed Car Damage - Herby7 - 07-03-2015 Hi All Someone decided to key the passenger side of my car a few weeks ago. I have tried turtle wax scratch repair kit and it has improved it . Any other ideas of how to repair it ? I have been quoted £300 to get it resprayed . I have added pics of how it looks now . It may not look like much but it really annoying . Thanks Pics Below RE: Keyed Car Damage - puglove - 07-03-2015 Thats a forum error. RE: Keyed Car Damage - WiNgNuTz - 08-03-2015 Yeah, I'm afraid I concur with Choppin, looks like a respray job to me. Would have suggested finding someone who's handy with a machine polisher, but if the scratch is through the paint to the metal underneath, no amount of machine polishing will help. Sorry to see that mate, had the same thing done to my DT, and I was furious when I saw it! Might just leave it how it is dont wanna spend £300 really and it gets done again . Looks Better than it did. RE: Keyed Car Damage - procta - 09-03-2015 you still not got this sorted out? Pain in the arse Raving herb! RE: Keyed Car Damage - Herby7 - 10-03-2015 (09-03-2015, 06:55 PM)procta Wrote: you still not got this sorted out? Pain in the arse Raving herb! Nope RE: Keyed Car Damage - 1616six - 10-03-2015 Is the turtlewax scratch repair like a touch up pen? It looks raised now? I think wet sanding and a good going over with a DA would help but it'll certainly still notice quite obviously. Its not as noticable as u may think till u get up closer to the car . Still deciding whether to get it resprayed at the cost of £300 or not . RE: Keyed Car Damage - procta - 11-03-2015 Raving herb, I would tbh, saves arsing about with pens and shit, Some lady garden did the 306 a few years ago. Cost £300 to have the rear quarter sorted out. If the low life's are local, they'll prob key it again if they see you've had it resprayed RE: Keyed Car Damage - procta - 12-03-2015 (12-03-2015, 03:01 PM)Herby7 Wrote:(11-03-2015, 07:42 PM)procta Wrote: Raving herb, I would tbh, saves arsing about with pens and shit, Some lady garden did the 306 a few years ago.
