Removing the intake manifold?

Having read into it a bit apparently it help to bring boost on fast. One cars with a throttle plate the down side is that it often causes a huge boost spike as the throttle shuts, But because this car doesn't have one I can't think of a reason not to have one. Also having it up top on the intake manifold would make it very easy to fit a boost controller later on haha.
