Cool well today.... I had my MOT and.... IT PASSED! Two advisories: Rear brake pads and play in NS wishbone. All good! This was with Carl Chambers so it was done in good hands! I also got my gti6 brakes, braided brake lines and gti6 inlet manifold fitted. The brakes are epic and pretty much put you through the windscreen on emergency stop! The inlet manifold sounds great and takes up a lot of room in the engine bay!
Also the garage had a few project cars, a green ford anglia, a 106 Dimma, a escort mk1 AND THE PUGONDA!
Also I had a sit in one of Carls 306 touring cars which was epic! I also got to drive Decs dturbo... it has a lot of pull but for a very short amount of time! Sounds epic with the turbo suction noise. Was especially epic through town making people turning round witha burbling petrol and a hissing dturbo!
Once we got back we grabbed some bacon sandwiches and then set about swapping over the doors from my 1.4 to Decs car. Swapping the doors was relatively easy once we worked out how to do it!
Also the above photo. Seeing as dec lost his drivers arch liner i decided the best way to get the door bolts off from through the wheel arch. I undid the bolt and then got the ratchet spanner suck between the bolt and the wing... and obviously because it was a ratchet spanner i couldnt do it up to get it out! Tom got it out in the end!
Also we found the reason of why decs central locking, electric mirrors, and electric windows didnt work... the drivers side door loom was completely ruined! Also a few of his doors were held on with nile blue nuts. Definitely made of bits that car! :nope: Also Dec likes the sound my chicken makes....
Anyway! A brilliant day and tomorrows EA meet should be epic!
