Mine is now basically serrated around the edge, doesn't matter though. I've stopped caring what it looks like, anyway. It just seems so counter-productive... Keep something protected so you never actually get to see or use what you're protecting :/.
However if it's specifically to hold value, fair enough. Mine will never be sold so doesn't matter.

That isn't really true. They may essentially perform the same tasks, as all phones do. But there are many differences other than you mentioned.
