S16 used the same block and crank, however a 152mm conrod with taller pistons, bushed small end and circlip located gudgeon pin, a rather heavy piston but usefully meaty valve cutouts.
gti6 uses 158mm conrods and a shrink fit gudgeon pin, and rather poor valve cutouts and thin piston crowns, a whole 1mm can be added however, to allow for cams like PT81's to be timed up correctly and safely, without this, and a thicker gasket if the head has been skimmed, I wouldn't even think about changing the cams.
