About time I did a update..
Following on from the head gasket issues the head was sent for checking and has come back had 2 new valves fitted and skimmed/pressure tested, only to then find that when the carriers were refitted the inlet cam just locked up solid so head is warped and scrap
So back to the drawing board and ended up picking up a low mileage engine complete with a xsara vts so have removed it and am now in the stage of fitting it to the rallye. Although currently awaiting a crank seal as noticed a slight leak.
Also whilst I was waiting for a suitable engine I also picked up some 24mm torsion bars and 30mm arb and also this week picked up some hi spec calipers and discs which should improve the braking from my last trackday as found the standard brakes were not up to the job
Hoping to get out on track again at some point this year if I can but will be a lot more slow progress as also trying to buy a house but hopefully got all bits I need to get it running again
