f*cking hell mate, that could of been nasty. I'm always really worried about dropping my grinder.

Dude your lucky. My grinder slipped on me last week and exploded the cutting disc inchs from my face. I got the tinyest of scratch's on my arm. Yet when i accidentally tapped a disc with my hand. Blood everywhere

I am not gona do the whole bay just the chassis legs and the corner sections where water pools

ironicly i need a part that i have sold off the scrapper which is not in stock at Peugeot and is on back order
my local peugeot was good enough to do a dealer search and found one in the country at Scarborough
so a phone call later i bought it and they are sending it by post
item i wanted was the gear linkage boomerang with the ball mine the ball was cracked and loose

some parcels have turned up today
Genuine exhaust fitting kit Part No 1798-75
genuine Gear link control return Part No 2449-71

needed the control link as the ball on mine fell off with a tug

I think i have found why the linkages rattle too....
the brass bushes in the control link were worn and there was slack in the pivit point with the new one all the slack has gone

question for you....Do I grease the ball in the tube???
the tube currently looks dry of grease

locate buggered seal

drill small pilot hole in seal outer case

screw in wood screw or self tapper to jack the seal out

Last few bits were put on earlier ive got fed up with the plastic snap rivets on the front grill so ive replaced them with Rivnuts so now I can unbolt it easier Smile

finished off with a wash and quick polish ready for tomorrow Being Taxed and out on the road.
first trip will be to Peugeot to get some Hockystick clips Wink

I have not connected the oil cooler although it is fitted,
reason being it is empty and clean of oil,
I don't want to be running my running in oil through the cooler as I wont be able to drain it fully,
once ive done 3-400 miles running in, i will be putting better quality oil in it with the cooler

Experience :p
On the longest run, the belt should twist no more than 90 degrees

Yeah, that's way too tight. Slacken it off until you can twist it to 90 degrees.

Ah yeah thats the whine!

As Niall said, twist 90 degrees at the middle point of the longest length between pulleys.

Then do a couple rotations back to timing marks and check again Smile
