Hi Guys
Just thought I would post up my project thread on GTi6
Well picked up my new toy back in August 2011 a Black Gti6 with the help of Raz (PBoost/GTi6)
A quick pic of the car on the trailer when she was just outside my house
and the bus that pulled it home
Remapped to 170bhp as well
Got it up onto the drive and set about getting it ready for its make over and work .... First job was to remove the wheels as sold them then set about the subtle mods
Frosted to Crystals ....
Then the PH2 shelf was removed for a much better PH3 shelf
Then it was off with the smoked indicators for the much prefered clear indicators ...
Other simple jobs I will do over next day or so will be:
De-wiper
Transfer black ABC pillars across
Transfer my headunit across
PH3 Fogs
Transfer wind deflectors as they look cool
K&N Panel Filter

Small Progress
More Progress
How it now stands
Entire wiring loom is disconnected which takes the bloody p*ss, lol. Started removing the aircon as the pipes were badly corroded and after that I looked out the engine bay and say this .....
My parents are gonna kill me, lol
Other day I took some random pics of my 2 Peugeots on the drive
Thats all for today guys more to come tomorrow when the engine should be out and the rest of the aircon removed

Is that a 3rd 306 parken just off the drive?
Does look good though
You say remapped but they're 167 as standard may have lost a few horses over time but not much of a gain though?

Not great pictures as was getting dark and only on my phone but pictures non the less. Taken out the arch liners as a temp thing until I get some 15mm hub centric spacers Look so much cleaner I reckon
The car then stood still for a few months as I was going to sell it due to the hard times I was having with personal issues.
Just got it all back on the road and today the car has been bled propperly after the heater matrix decided to pack up so measures were taken

I wish I still had it was my PH2 converted to PH1 DTurbo. Great car never let me down but sold it on. Miss the running veg big time with fuel prices now.
The '6 will be having some things done to it over the next few months but strapped for cash as always, lol

Procta - It is tempting to PH1 this but just no time at the moment sadly
Puglove - I went awol and went German but found some sanity and came back tail between my legs now starting the project on the old girl again
Eventually I will be running throttle bodies with PT81 cams Just gotta get the cash as well as do other things to the car.
Raz - They just put a smile on your face so much more than any other car available for the money, plus ripping a chav apart with an R reg shitty 306 as they think never fails to amause me
Matt - Thank you
Small Update:
Ordered me some new parts other day:
Bilstein B4 Shocks as I will be redoing the suspension. It needs a new top mount bearing and droplink on drivers side anyway but just seems more worthwhile to rebuild it and drop it slightly at the same time
Also ordered me some 15mm Hub centric spacers to bring the rear out slightly, will look alot better when fitted will get some pics.
Also need to fit Crystal Foglights and Crystal Headlights. Wanting to black mask them but really can't be arsed parting them as they are Valeo and I have little patience alot of the time haha
Got a sticky clutch cable and accelerator pedal though so think new cables are in order
Thanks for looking and will keep you all upto date,
Luke

Ok bit of work done tonight .....
Got home and my spacers had arrived, nice and shiney
Started bloody raining but I werent stopping, so heres before .....
and heres after
Tried to keep the angle the same so can see the difference. Deperately needs lowering though now.
Bonnet was looking a little dull, its not the best in the world but wanted to see what I could do and this was achieved with just some TCut colour restorer. This was done a few days ago
Then had a bit of a paint of some spare cam covers and came up with this which should look nice with the red inlet manifold
Thanks for looking, tell me what you think

If the weather picks up I can get a few more pics, plus need to get my drivers fron arch sorted as its dented.
Should be lowered soon and then plenty more pics as well as I hate the space between arch and wheel

Update:
When I brought the car it had a dented drivers front wing wqhich was bugging me, obviously took a while longer as I went AWOL buyt today ITS REPLACED!!!!!
Big thanks to Raz for the wingm, looks beautiful as well and I got it lined up perfectly. I will let the pics do the talking
Old wing removed
New wing fitted
Looks spot on in my opinion as I also sorted out the hockey sticks and now looks much better.
Springs should be here this week and suspension will be built up off the car and then installed either in the week if I get time or next weekend. Will look tonnes better when lowered as it is in serious need of it.
Also got an as good as new condition leather steering which I will sort out when I find my socket for it as cant bloody find nothing in the shed at moment haha
Commets welcome and more updates to come soon
