Ace work as always, really keen to see this going.

Dunno bout the gold / bronze / sparkly poo brown block - might grow on me.

Have you used some heat protection on those hoses or is it oem? looks like a silicone wrap...

Fitted my new crank pulley but now needs an even shorter belt as diameter of crank pulley is smaller than the stock one

Gearbox cleaned up, painted and fitted along with new fork bushes and driveshaft seals

Now starting to look at turbo mounting.....[Image: e901f13b505fcf23c5030c5323336825.jpg]

I'm not worried! If it's good enough on big power tdi audis im sure it will be more than fine for a 4 pot pug diesel, and the turbo will more than adequately make up for any inefficiencies on the manifold

I meant dont worry about people saying things. Simply referencing the same debate which seemed to go on forever on piggys thread a few weeks back.

That was the end of Piggy posting on here really, and I don't blame him.
He didn't deserve that flaming, most people saying stuff in his thread weren't even building anything half as awesome as he was, and did before.

Good work Sam.

Three quarters of both his threads about his cars are people arguing, either with him or each other
I think he put up with plenty before "melting away".

Sorry Sam, I'll stay out of your thread now.

The belt was already shorter than stock as I got rid of the aircon, the belt now with the new crank pulley is about another 40mm shorter
