Thanks JJ and sam I was on session 1 & 3. Those R888's messed us up a little though "/ I felt I would have been quicker on my old ones.
The R888's definitely grip more but there was a downside to this that made me slower , braking and accelerating in a straight line I couldn't fault was able to brake later and corner entry was faster. Acceleration wise wasn't to much different because we never got in to first.... The biggest downfall was coming out of corners or high speed corners, my theory would be that the outside tyre was gripping more than the old, allowing for more weight transfer allowing the inside to spin more as we still don't have a diff yet "/ This was the bane of the day "/. Plus we were on the SG compound R888's which I'm pretty sure are slower in the hot weather. I'm not saying any of this to make excuses etc... just telling people in case they're interested for their cars

Where you orginally running gg compound? I take it gg is medium and sg is soft?
Looking on 306gti.com today have you Brought a charged 306 or am I thinking of Somone different Astor 6 Fast road/track project

Proper quick this car!!!
Watched at various points through the track, you were absolutely hacking through Camp corner, there were definitely some kahunas being used to be that close to the limit there
We were running AD08's Which ain't a bad tyre, but seemed to drop off the more you pushed the heat I'm assuming. Yeah the SG is soft basically tore up about half of the tread they were brand new
An yup that's me :L on my dads account will eventually transfer it over to 306OC, just wanted to start it up on there as more people on there seem to restore they're cars, so I was looking for tips on redoing the engine bay. Thanks Ruan, Camp was most likely my favorite corner of the day , it was the limit of what the tyres could cope with and it was straight braking so I could brake really late. Could keep with some quicker cars going down the straight till about start/finish line then my momentum advantage would run out

I could definitely hear "barp... barp... BARRRRRRP" going round there absolutely fighting for grip!!!

ad08's are a better tyre, but as with any tyre yiu need the right camber and spring rate
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

It was a mixture of me and my dad driving he the one that's barping all the time I try to be smooth
I don't think the ad08's are better for grip maybe the 48's but I haven't tried them yet.

Grass was a little damp which didn't help things

Shit that's a proper fender bender!
Good result from the cage. Would suggest getting the welds on the rear section ndt inspected before you put it in the next car for peace of mind.

Wow........glad you got out OK fella. Looks like the cage did its job....

Hmm... I've been using ad08r for 9 months, quite a bit at combe. Find they heat up well even on the back. Running them at 30ns, 31os rear, 28ns, 29os front. They need a lap or so to come in, but then worked on the sprint really well too.
