Coilovers are a good shout. If you're lowering I recommend looking at the rear beam lowering guide on the guides section .

Could be. Have a look at the mechanism it's the lever on the bottom if not could be piston seizing. Rear callipers are cheap enough second hand anyway.

Update on this anyway. Hopefully tomorrow me and ozone will be putting some bits onto the Astor.
Gti-6 brakes which I've painted over last few days going on with brand new Mintex discs and pads.
Rear calipers will hopefully get a lick of red hammerite and be introduced to new discs and pads also.
My new wheels which all going well will be picked up. I'll then order the White pug centre caps to follow.
If there's time may get the gti interior in

Awesome choice of wheels, thought for a while now they'd look good on a 306.

So small update on this. Fresh brakes all around. Painted 6 calipers with Mintex discs and pads. Painted rear calipers with Mintex discs and pads. And the new alloys are on too. Results:
10mm spacers all around only on the back at the moment but by Tuesday should be spacers all around sitting nicely in the arches.
Developed a horrible whining and groaning under the bonnet. Looks to be a pulley but as the belts are due a change that will be next. Also a couple new ball joints should see me through the MOT As far as it looks. And then I'll be getting the lows sorted

You obviously haven't seen me throw a 57 plate sprinter up and down it at 70 in epic being late back to depot rage :p. Now I have fresh rubber rather than the bare legal minimum I'm more confident :p
