Right here we go again.
About a month back I bought this.
850 with 11 month mot and 7 months tax 90k on clock and a full stainless longlife exhaust from turbo back. Only down side is a crack in the rear bumper and needing some tlc.
Had it a day until a fox ran Infront of it causing a minuscule crack on front bumper but I have hopefully sourced a new front bumper and the rear replacement is still being searched for.
(Crack in o/s of rear bumper)
So far I have stage 1 tuned it with the map file extracted from my previous stage 1 hdi. Swapped my headunit over, added an air horn.. you know the little things. Been driving it in the knowledge that suspension components need replacing so being that I've recently been paid... new wishbones, track rods and ends are on their way .
Near future:
Give it a proper touch up on body make it shine
New rear bumper
New wheels (clones so boring, want to find some nice 16's but could be swayed to 15's still
Lowered maybe 40mm?
Swap my oversized twin sub for something smaller and do install
After near future:
Fmic setup
Heavier duty clutch
Manual boost controller (maybe)
Stage 2 tune
Well fingers crossed this all goes to plan

A few bits to be installed tomorrow
2 x delphi wishbones
2 x delphi track rod ends
2 x lemförder track rod bars
1 x steering rack boot
Also 2 x handbrake cables as mine don't appear to have ever been changed after it's entire life being spent in flat towns and cities (spent most of its life in reading with a couple commutes to Bournemouth a week) it's had a bit of shock in the steep shires [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
Should feel brand new
Also SRowell sorting me some ocstickers so shoutout to him for that

You'd remove a boost pipe just for epic coal or something [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

Or an EGR delete, literally just take it off...
Matt introduces angle grinder to vacuum pipe for no apparent reason other than "because angle grinder"

Still nothing going on with this. Never seem to have the time. Stage 2 feels like it'll never happen but hey-ho. Clean and debadged Astor is sooooo nice!

I'd more likely go through the arduous task of converting hdi to a 6 :p. I have bonded with Astor well.

Not a lot going on at the moment with this but got a hoard of parts waiting to go on or waiting on delivery.
What I've got waiting to go in:
Complete GTI-6 interior
2 x mint Astor wings
Mint drivers door (replace door handle for my old one and swap lock barrel)
GTI-6 brake calipers which should get the hammerite treatment next week (Mintex discs and pads arriving Tuesday)
New Rear Mintex discs and pads (Also arrive Tuesday)
2 x genuine 18mm ball joints
Also quite happy with my pressed plates that arrived last night:
Can't wait for it all to be fitted, then onwards to paddle clutch and stage 2 prep!
Bits I'm still waiting on buying/buying next payday
New wheels with fresh tyres (Citröen C2 vtr/gt wheels called Jaguars with pug centres in ice white wrapped in new rainsport 3s)
New windscreen/repair current multiple chips
Replace rubber brake hoses if I find current ones perished when changing brakes maybe with some braided lines, just because I can.
Replace gear linkages with Baker BM
Bilstein B4's with Apex lowering springs ~30-40mm and matching rear dampers.

Change rainsport 3s to ps3s and you've nailed it.
Needs all of the pics when you put it together.

Aha damn right :p I'll use the tread pretty quick like I did on the ones I had on the vortexes on the moonstone
Yeah man I definitely will. Also trying to source a new front bumper hoping Scott still has his. More nice condition.

Depends what your goal is? The usual is a straight thru exhaust. Decat. Stage 1+ remap. Gti-6 brakes to start.
