done a few more little bits on the old girl to get her handling a little more like pug intended

two new wishbones old ones were fecked both bushes had basically fell apart and ball joints had lots of play but this passed a mot just before I brought her and one front axle mount us in two pieces so as you jack it up the front of the axle comes away quater inch :O some dodgy mot ers out there shouldnt have passed at all.

also replaced the cv boot on the drivers side as that chucked all its grease out Sad

also chucked in a powerflex lower mount will prob be coming back out tho the vibrations are ridiculous in my black dt I put a yellow one in and I made no difference to the vibration but this is silly hopeing for it to bed in alot ill see tho.

and made up a strut brace with some spare steel at work

why buy when you can bodge ehh Wink

ohh and she's in for tracking tomorrow Smile

[attachment=15532]

decided its about time I mounted the oil cooler im having pirtek make up some oil lines just need to decide on the mounting position so help is needed.
its a non thermostat plate so I was thinking behind the rad to keep some warmth there? but can the cooler be side mounted or does it need to be mounted vertical?

like this ?

[attachment=15727]

or like this?

Yer it will act more a radiator that way with heat rising the cool oil will drop down to the bottom well that's how I see it might be completely wrong tho lol

You got cover to do car? Might pop up but with weather it's given don't fancy getting piss wet though

Cheers chris . you like that tip ehh Wink
few more piks of todays efforts was meant to go to Combe but a shagged rad put a stop to that Sad

started like this

[attachment=15751]

one fecked rad
[attachment=15752]
[attachment=15753]

I/c on forgot the in between pikss
[attachment=15754]
[attachment=15755]

ware the pipes come to will get the rest plumbed in when I swap the turbo.
[attachment=15756]

simple mount chucked together for the new filter

[attachment=15757]
[attachment=15758]

so the filter slips right in there rather than just being wedged in a corner somewhere

[attachment=15759]

oh and also ahd a look at makeing up a lower strut brace looks like it will be even easier than the top one Big Grin

c and c welcome Wink

Looks good, nice and strong. Does the lower brace make much impact when you already have the upper brace?
