Right, so thought i would get a project thread up for my gti6 and share my plans for it....
here it is all cleaned and polished
[attachment=14890]
[attachment=14891]
soooo plans are as follows....
important stuff first,
1. New cambelt and water-pump to be fitted
2. new throttle cable
3. New clutch cable
4. Sort the blowing exhaust out (previous owner could not weld to ave his life)
Now for the visual side of things,
1. Spray interior panels gloss black (center console, vents, instrument cluster facia...)
2. Debadge the rear only leaving the gti6 badge (will need a new one as missing the 'I')
3. add some lows, not sure what drop i will go for yet.
4. banded steels, think silver lip and black centre.
5. give the callipers a clean up.
6. maybe some black masks.
This next one may come as a shock to most of you.....
7. Ph2 front bumper

Looks like a really clean example and smart move for getting the belt and pump done. Sure your aware these engines are famous for their snapping belts!
As Grant said, get them fogs changed as they really let the car down (i think you can pick up pattern sets of them brand new for about 30 on the bay) And I've got a good condition PH3 gti6 badge here you can have for a couple of quid postage.

yeah, the car is on 82k so my first prority is to get cambelt and waterpump done for piece of mind.
will probs have a look up the scrappys for some rallye blanks if they've got any up there (just to see if i can save a few quid).
and yeah will deffo hit you up on the badge at some point. probs after the weekend maybe. i'll drop you a pm at some point.

Rallye blanks are £15 from peugeot. Don't be fooled into buying them on ebay for stupid money like most think and if you find some in a breakers, good luck!

oh really. seen a set on the bay for 30 quid, so automatically thought peugeot was gonna charge atleast 40 quid+ for a pair

i dunno met, the gti is all new to me. it is running on 55 profiles mind (not that it will make much of a difference). but its very solid, no swaying in the corners or anything of the sort. but plan is to hit it with the lowering stick anyway.

while im waiting for a few more parts, thought i would get on and start spraying up some of my instrument panels, the plan is to spray them all gloss black, and when it decides to stop raining i will give my boot spoiler/lip a lick of paint and maybe my wing mirrors

Next on the list of spraying jobs is my boot lip/spoiler. can the spoiler be removed without having to bond it back on? or is it just easier to mask it off and spray it on the car? would rather take it off because the weather is a bit temperamental.
