Aux belt aint to bad to do. Does yours have air con? Cuz on my S16 i got a ph1 gti6 aux set up.
24-02-2014, 01:19 PM
oh good, is it easier to take wheel and arch liner out to do it ? and no it doesn't have air con is the 6 setup better or something ?
24-02-2014, 01:29 PM
Take the wheel and the inner arch bit out makes it a lot easier. I changed it all on mine as i fitted a gti6 gearbox so then had to fit the sump and then the power steering pipe bolts to the sump so then had to change the power steering pump so ended up changing the whole aux set up. Was a fair bit of work but i had all the bits and i wanted to do it proper

Thought so yeah seems like a lot to do, but like you say if your keen why not. There's actually no more rattling there scrubbing and knocking but that's my fault lol

Threw a bucket over her this morning, thought it would be rude not to as the Cornish sun has made a cheeky appearance.
Sorry about the shoddy pictures ! The back is sitting a fair bit then normal because it has the old stellies in the boot which have the good tyres on, so going to workshop today to get them fitted to the speedlines

Looking good!

Yeah does look good need some spacers mind wheels are hiding away at the moment! and yeah It was mainly to get rid of bird poo
Got the tyres from the steelies fitted to the speedlines, feels so much better now mainly cause theae tyres hold the air in
I'm going to have to do separate posts for each picture while I'm using my phone it won't let me copy and paste two links in one post :S Anyways new flat faced wheel bolts so my wheels should now stay attached to the car which is nice New aux belt as mine is looking a bit worse for ware, so tom managed to get me one with some good discount from one of his dodgy dealers

Well Ryan wanted some help to do his aux belt today so he picked me up and we went back over his place, faffed about for a while working out what the tensioner was and how it worked then it was pretty straight forward, belt off, belt on, done. Ryan also decided to raise his car a bit (it make a horrendous groaning/grinding noise when turning the steering wheel at low speed/standing still) so he quickly wound the coilovers up a couple of threads. Then his hand slipped and he made a funny noise...
Old belt, quite obviously been there for a while. I found this bolt holding that PS pipe was hanging off so i done that up. And last of this little box was leaning on the exhaust mani so i put it up there on the battery box and Ryan found a little nut to secure it with... And we done all that in about half an hour because i had to be home again to take delivery of the shopping

Right well after this retard washed and polished his car we had a quick chat on facebook and he decided to come over and see me whilst i was working on (laughing at) this chavvy little clio. But i somehow offered to help him wax his car... So we got on with it and the results are pretty awesome!
