		So as most you may know i went to go see a GTi6 earlier.
Seemed very nice in and out, engine on 53k, bit of lacquer peel and needs a fair bit of TLC inside and out! BUT will be a nice little worker before the car season starts!

Yes, the morettes have already found a new home and will be swapped for a set of crystals

		Get them rub strips back to black. Grey faded plastics ruin a cars look IMO. If you have time, sand them down and do them gloss black. Makes a big difference i think.
Edit: 14,000th post. Shit i need a life!

		I'd recommend Autoglym Bumper Gel before you go painting stuff. Oh and Derv < Perv.

But it looks good mate, sure you'll do it justice, and low miles is win!

Is that the stuff you used; I'm just not a fan of glossy rub strips;
Much prefer the contrast of a nice matte strip against the metal
But yes, looking forward to getting involved with this cheers!

		Its really great stuff, especially if you use it regularly, i personally couldnt be bothered with painting them when this gel works and looks as good as it does. Its only like 7quid a tub i think? And you use literally one drip each time, you'll use a bit more to get started but after that its easy. Gets that white polish stain off black plastic aswell!

		Its shiney, i'd say it makes trim look how it should. If you want a proper matt finish then you will have to paint them, but thats effort.

		So.. picked it up today; got some tyres from jamie, PE2's on front as the old tyres were slicks.
Not disappointed, as such, it needs work as to be expected, nothing HUGE. So far, the to do list stands at:

Front brakes
CV boot - split it today! gah!
TRE on N/S - garage couldn't allign completely as it's seized up, even with fire! Will replace them in time

Apart from that, it shifts, and the 53k engine is a beauty!

And yes, those front tyres are the OLD tyres..
