Thought I would make up a project thread over here. Will try and quickly sum up what's been done so far.
Started off like this.. Back in December '10, with roughly 126k on it.
Was in ok condition, despite being owned and abused by two students.
SInce then I have done:
Ford Focus ST interior light
P3 bumpers and skirts
Rallye blanks
'6 front brakes
'6 rear beam
Black masked crystals
Starfish 15" alloys
De-cat
De-backbox
Bosch + T2
MINT P1/2 half leather/alcantara seats (with the bigger bolsters)
Leather steering wheel
Compbrake style quickshift
Beefy oil catch tank
BMC 'panel' filter
Halfords exhaust tip 8-) (Good for around 45hp apparently)
Think that's the complete list I think, got a few more things to get done on it, water injection, nimrods, new rear beam with hybrid ARB, lower. And keep tuning and getting angry at it!
Another main thing that's a work in progress, is a complete tidy up! Been tidying up the underside etc. and the paintwork and engine bay need attention!
A few pictures to finish off
8-)

Well it's got 'submarine lighting' on it, two small red LED's that light up by the gearstick with a faint glow, looks pretty cool actually. I only fitted it because I had it on my old Fiesta, but removed it when I sold the car and couldn't sell the light, so thought why not! It looks a complete bodge but O well!
Can just see my hand glowing in this pic

Forgot I actually had a thread on here, so first update in about 8 months...
It's changed a bit so I will just summarize to get up to speed.
It looks like this:
It sounds like this:
And this is the spec:
DHX engine
Gov modded Bosch
Garrett GT2052s, custom downpipe with 3" elbow. TD04 actuator. Running 20psi.
CG un sprung 4 paddle clutch
HDI rear beam with hybrid ARB
GTI dampers all round with Spax 40mm springs
GTI brakes
16" SP alloys, currently in white, wrapped in Hankook S1 Evo tyres
Phase 3 bumpers, skirts and boot, with crystals
OMP WRC steering wheel
selection of gauges, typical DT
Phase 1 half leather GTI seats
Compbrake short shifter thing, I don't like it..
Probably a load more things I have forgotten, but that's most of it I think!
Some random pictures of it/it's progress..
DHX engine
CG paddle clutch
Getting the bay cleaned up and painted for the new engine
3 of 4 gauges. Oil pressure, oil temp and EGT
Turbo with downpipe mock up
Boost controller
Turbo on the car, also showing my exhaust leak
Future plans
The handling is not right, I think new P bushes and adjustable drop links are needed. Also needs new dampers.
Probably water injection, or FMIC. Rather have injection and keep the TMIC
Wheels need refurbing and painting silver
Needs a good clean up, I have waxoyled half of the underside, got bored doing it so need to finish it off!
Wire in oil gauges
Fit an air filter!
Think that sums up an 8 month update

Hopefully. Not sure if I can justify spending nearly £600 on suspension, so may just go with some AP coilovers instead.

Lots of hard work I can see has gone into this. The ride height is pretty much spot on mine annoys me so much being so low.

<3 this car...
Only piece of advice - get an intercooler surround, seals the IC better so it forces it through, rather than pissing out the edges

I have got a surround from my old intercooler, just haven't bothered putting it on yet! It's buried in a load of pipes and stuff from the 406 engine.
Doubt I will get an FMIC, will stick to water meths I think, can't be bothered with all the pipes and stuff, plus I think I may be one of the very few people who prefer the look of the TMIC over FMIC pipes all over the place..
Need to sort the exhaust leak out, can hear it chugging, well annoying! And I need to wire in the oil gauges.

Yeah, but the flexi is quite short and my elbow's angle is slightly off, always seems to come off the same way.
Looking at a better system when money allows. Can live with it for now though.

Mine was welded together by my father in law, took about 3 attempts to get the angle right for the elbow.

Had the car jacked up today, had a look underneath and found another exhaust leak, so that's now two. It's leaking between the turbo and manifold, it's getting worse, can smell the fumes in the car now when sat still
Managed to fit an air filter today, need to change it a bit though, I used a straight reducer from the turbo, it's a VERY tight fit down there, so will change it for an elbow reducer. Been playing with the pump, now boosting 18-20psi, pulls well enough for me, hoping to pull 130-140hp on the dyno, doubt I will see more than that tbh, it's only a small turbo in reality, not going to touch the power that TD04's make. It's definatly worth loosing the power for mega driveability though
Also thinking of my next plans, decided to go FMIC, don't want anything big or showy, this turbo doesn't produce much heat anyway. Got some cool plans for it. Also going to build an 11mm pump, been doing some research on them and I think it will make it even more drivable, can get more fuel in without whacking up the injection length, and creating stupid EGT's. Definatly going to build one, whether I actually use it in the end I don't know.

thats not the best place for the airfilter mate, you want it on the other side of the bay preferably away from the heat of the block. that space behind the headlight in front of the battery is ideal and gets much better cold air flow from underneath

Theres a big hole there and I have no arch liner so its not too bad, either way I have a filter which is all I was concerned about, hated not having one!

this particular one runs out about 4k or so, but the a/r is only 0.37 so its more for mid range/low end pull. It does pull pretty hard though, probably nothing like a td04 etc but its good fun . Should pull 130/140hp at the boost its at now.
