Replaces plastic dash parts with CF to save weight
Still has carpet fitted. Sort it out!
01-01-2013, 10:34 PM
Who said it was to save weight? with over 400 bhp i dont care about a few extra or less pounds here and there
Im keeping the front part of the carpet, ive been in enough carpetless cars to want to keep it, al the rattles, small stones , you hear everything.. I forgot i installed the Cupra R spoilerlip last week, i took me quite some time to get it nicely fit, its still isnt 100% and i need to cut the excess on the ends, but it really looks the part! Much much better and far more agressive then the stock lip Plus finally my new rearspoiler arrived, and its perfect! will take it to the paintshop next week Here a quick tryfitthingypic (thx for the help mister Ductape) Also had a quick testfit of the rear wheels, still my new spacers havent arrived, the wheels will come a 5mm more out then this, it sucks to have flared arches, hahah And another quicky of the carbon gloveboxpanels, gonna get some nice screws tomorrow and fix it 100%
01-01-2013, 10:36 PM
See I told someone in another thread that Cupar r splitters looked the tits!!! They didn't believe me!!
Defo need the spacers on them wheels though bud

that intercooler looks the business, you should trim the bumper accordingly though, improve that surface area

Coming along nicely. Haven't been on the forum over Christmas but this car is really taking shape, going to look amazing. Not a massive fan of black-on-black, I think you'll lose out on not being able to appreciate those TE37s properly with them being a dark colour. Would look smart in something a bit brighter to give it a bit of definition / contrast with the body work...
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.
04-01-2013, 03:29 PM
Thx, TE37 were gunmetal, i just had them painted, since i kinda like black on black, nice and racy!!
Well, uhmm bought a 3" endtop for my complete 3" exhaust (will post some pics tomorrow) Installed the topmounts on the KWs. Modded my debadged grille ( needs a bit more trimming) but i blew up the dremel while cutting... And fitted the spoiler.... Called Pieter from DP Engineering and im not going to use the MSD ingnition... standard is very good just proun to break now and then. He said keep the standards in. Had contact with the cagebuilders and cage nr 2 will be finished around the end of this month, and hopefully that one will fit good so we can finish the interior. carbon doorcards should be also in around that time... Plus i did some more trimming on the grille... and it looks beter, need a very smal finetuning and then its perfect... Plus the spoiler is in its place.... And recieved some shiny bits for my fuelrail etc And ive finally ordered a oilcatchtank Tomorrow more pics!!

Dont know, would be nice to come and visit Pugfest or something like that.. and have a beer or 2 offcourse
06-01-2013, 12:49 AM
Well, we went and testfit the engine tonight to have a look how things will go and how things will or wont fit and what needs to be modded.
It looks not that bad, well have to modifie a radiator hose, the screamerpipe will be one hell of a job though cause there really is ZERO space, so that will be fun! Some moneyshots Next week ill start to refit the brakes and hopefully my new longer studs come in so i can mount them, and also fit the coilovers etc. Enjoy and till next time..
06-01-2013, 01:14 AM
looking real good mate, just wandering about your air filter arrangement though, you got any plans for a cold air feed?
just seems like it wont be getting much airflow in its current position. on mine ive got an aluminium box behind the headlight with a hose going straight from the grill into a k&n cone filter, made a massive difference quite a tight bend your gonna need to get from the intercooler to the turbo is it not?

Hey mate, still thinking of fitting an airduct in the hood or something like that, i dont have another option of moving or relocating the filter, since there just isnt room, its getting fuller and fuller
this was only testfitting, turbohousing needs to be rotated, maybe weld/modify the housing, theres still alot of work to be done, need to find a nice spot for the mocal, figure out the IC piping, refit alternator etc etc etc etc. Next thing on the menu is fitting the new 330mm brakediscs that are getting rebored next week, fit the studs, en fit the coilovers, and make it look like a car again. Ill keep you guys posted and ozone thank you for the tips, but its still to early in the project to have a look at this "problem" Cheers Paul

Jesus!! I bet you can't wait to get this beast on the road, I would be chomping at the bit
06-01-2013, 12:06 PM
Have a look at tall guys build. He's mount his oil cooler in the bumper. You should have loads of room where he has it
Oke i will... i think there is some space behind the rad.
Screamerpipe will be a bitch!!! ( for the welder, hahah) And yes, cant wait to drive it, but theres so much more work to do......... Almost finished the injectorrail, need 2 small adapters to get the AN6 fitted. Finished up the injectorharnes.... and fitted the 4 x 650cc Siemens Deka injectors |
