So basically i was putting this off because i havent done a thing to this car yet, but i seen someone in another thread looking to see a few pictures of it so i thougt id stick them up anyway. Anything in this thread is the previous owners handy work and i take no credit for it lol! I bought the car without the superlights, which i keep kicking myself about, but they were standing the boy more than the car after they were lathed etc.
Anyway, i bought the car as a daily for driving to uni and back. My other car is a defender so its hard to fuel when youre going so far everyday. Having this as a second car will hopefully mean i can take into some pump and turbo mods at some point.
Ill let the pictures tell the life of this little car. Also any wheel suggestions please!!?
The original colour and looking a bit rough
White!!
Lights
And finished
I feel like a bit of a dick posting this because its basically the previous owners build thread. I hope to make it my own after christmas but thought yous might like to see it anyway.

Haha yous are sickening me since i dont have the wheels!!!! like i say i didnt buy it with the supers so i need to find another wheel for it. It was near doubling the price of the car if he was selling it with the wheels and i couldnt justify it just for a runabout to uni. The superlights were perfection on it though and made the wee car. What about some bbs rs reps? Same size and offset i think might be able to get a set at not bad money.
Yeah Its john okanes old yoke. I hope to get some serious pump and turbo mods after Christmas. I've lorry turbos and a few 11mm pumps lying about here so you never know. Signed up because the guides and info on here seems second to none.

Beautiful car, and although the wheels are lovely there are a hundred other sets that'd look just as good!

if your after another set of minilight style rims for not minilight prices, check out midlandwheels, they do their own range of reproductions of iconic rims so i imagene you could get a set in the size you want for a fairly decent price. jbw wheels there called
oh and truck turbos are insane, wouldnt consider using anything else now unless it was an even bigger truck turbo lol

Thanks again and cheers for the link. It still works out pretty expensive. £111 a rim and tyres on top of that. Yeah, im really looking forward to tinkering with the performance side of things, its a second car so i can afford to go a bit mad haha. I think ill have to go with the battery in the boot and turbo above the gearbox job. It will be far handier for swapping turbos and working on after i have a manifold built.
What do yous think of a set of BBS reps on it?

Looks like a great car, I'm a fellow 3dr Volcane owner and I too bought mine as a daily hack, five years on and it's got right under my skin!
Keep the pics coming, what wheels are on at the moment if you don't have the superlights?

Nice car
Don't think BBS style wheels would work to be honest... why not get some in the style of the old wheels? Should be able to get some for a similar price, loads on eBay

I threw a set of C2 wheels on it to get me through MOT they are hideous but had good tyres so cant complain!

wiring a direct battery feed to the lights improves them a fair bit, i might do a guide on how to do it plus putting spotlights on

Cheers, yeah there's coilovers in the front so should be handy enough. Dont know how many nicks to go on the back because the volcanes sit really low anyway. I threw 100l of water in the boot to give me an idea of what it will look like haha

I think it looks the perfect height in that picture. Are they 306 side skirts?

Yep, you need to cut them at the front though but it looks 100% with the front mudflap up tight to it.
