Just had the invoice back for my clutch...

Helix Autosport Wrote:Rebuilt cover inc pressure plate - 103.00
Re pad 4 Paddle - 49.59

Total inc vat - 183.11

Not too bad considering i only payed 40quid for the clutch.

Deposit has been payed on '6 brakes and master cylinder, phase 1 gti seats and a phase 3 splitter and i might be getting halos...

Opinions on new colour for alloys?

You say you got/getting some gti seats. You do know that 3 door seats dont fit a 5 door? They can be made to fit but theres alot of work involved.

Productive evening at the motorclub....

'6 splitter fitted, '6 brakes fitted, lower anti roll bar fitted & decat...

slight problem with the decat though... its knocking on the subframe, short of grinding the sub frame down a bit and the same with the decat, i cant think what else to do!

Ive even raised the middle exhaust clamp to try and lift it a bit more...

Thinking about trying to find a pipe bender and just give it a little knick just so it misses the subframe...

Get an angle grinder cut a slit in the pipe, jack up by the slit to bend the pipe up slightly and bring the two edges closer together, then weld them together. Simples.
Doesnt even own a 306.

so cut the topside of the cat and squash the pipe so the slit is covered, this will bend the cat upwards and then just weld it up.

sounds too simple!

Rung up an exhaust place in basingstoke who are going to have a look and bend the exhaust so it misses, it only just hits atm, but its enough to make a shit noise in the cabin!

Will be sorted today or tomorrow, and ill get some pics of my new stuff!

What are your engine mounts like? My exhaust used to catch the subframe, had too much movement in the engine

Mounts are fine... ive got an inch clearance between the bottom of the exhaust and the subframe...

the knocking onlycomes when the clutch is engaged....

Um, sorry to piss on your fire, but that means your mounts probably aren't fine lol.

Would engine mounts be a possible cause of a grinding / knocking noise when my car is in reverse too? As there's no vibration through the 'box, so there's probably not an issue with the gearbox itself.
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

As poodle said bud mounts are probably shot, check the top mount that's usually first to go and causes most movement

So, a few updates, but no pictures...

Have bought some BakerBM Engine mounts and solid rear beam mounts, hopefully that sorts the exhaust banging. Also, going to buy new exhaust bushes.

Am going up to see scott when i get back topick upthe mounts and also some leather reclining buckets. Have got black angel eyes coming too...

Will be getting all this sorted in the run up to xmas, so pictures soon. Have pm'd krisb about getting my turbo and clutch fitted in january. The turbo is Dums old ko3/ko3s hybrid.

Dum, did you and kris have any problems installing it, do i need anything extra to go with it, still got oil feeds and the screamer pipe. Also dum, did you have to vent your battery as ive heard its required if your re-routing it to boot... Did the thick gauge wire run under the car or through the car?

Have read through dums old hdi project, and its given me the idea of a piper cam and lightened fly... Pros and cons?

Piper only list the 206 hdi for cams, is it the same engine?

Im going to get hold of lynx to see if they will make a lightened bottom pulley (group buy intrest?)

Wish i earnt more money!!!
