Yea I know how that feels. I have come close recently, and last year when I did not have the car for 4 months. You might regret this though, so give it a few more thoughts mate. Sit down and think it though cos the build and car will be amazing once finished.
Could be a 306 that will have an engine to last, that has decent power. Unlike all the other ones that break.

Hi mate, I've been looking through the FMI thread and saw your engine bay pics, and was just wondering about your inlet manifold. Is it a standard 306 Td item or is it fabricated.
Reason I ask is I have a ZX which comes with the top mounted intercooler and I want to change to a FMI. If this is a standard item it will be better for me than reworking a fabricated one I have sourced.
Great projects by the way, I will be reading them in full to gain some ideas for tweaking mine as the power outputs are very intriguing

Texted you mate.
Unfortunately it's come to an end. All the suspension, cage, seats etc has been swapped over to my new (stripped) car ready for the new project!

OK, so the turbo, radiator, intake pipes, fuel pump and electronic boost controller have now sold.
I've got the exhaust and intercooler still sat here:

Yeah. They are pretty much mint and have brand new tyres, but I need wheels to send the xud to the scrapers.
Also got a hdi box I found in the shed, and cg 4 paddle clutch.

Straight fit to an xud 306 yes.
I could courier it but that would be at your cost.

Depends how much less.
If you come and collect it, and save me the hassle then probably - yes.
