jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - jammapic - 05-12-2011

To update this thread on a new forum:

Bought the car like this:

Did loads of work to suspension, chassis, stripped it, built a new engine, hybrid turbo etc etc... 950kg and made 209.9hp. It now stands like this:

Carrying on from my theywhoshallnotbenamed thread (I cba copying it all over).

Just bought these, £220 worth... but should be nice and accurate:

Cheers mate - appreciate that... Few people stuck there heads down the back to look at the turbo, prodded and poked a few things and asked some questions... I like sharing the love :-)

Both cars looking well there! Did you mention you were selling the other guages now that you've got new ones?

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Ian - 09-12-2011

Track car looks sweet buddy. Good work

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Matty - 09-12-2011

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - jammapic - 11-12-2011

New gauges arrived, and fitted.

Decided against the swoosh, they weren't what I was looking for.

Bought some VDO gauges, most expensive I could afford at £220 for 3, plus senders:

Seem a lot more accurate, and I've changed where I pickup the oil temp from to more accurately reflect what's going on!

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Atterz - 11-12-2011

Is the oil warming up and sooner mate? Mine is taking an age to warm up on the Rallye!

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - jammapic - 11-12-2011

Takes bloody ages to warm up - but now getting up to a scorching 75*c :-| Think I need to reconnect the oil warmer jobbie.

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - jammapic - 12-12-2011

Oil temperature!! yey!

80*c at cruise and 85*c when ragging it! Smile

75% of the cooler is covered in gaffa. Lol

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Danny2009 - 12-12-2011

Bit overkill on the cooler pal ?

Cars looking well though Smile

Gaffa tape FTW, you can solve anything with the stuff!

Least you have sorted the over cooling issue

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Atterz - 13-12-2011

Finally! Glad its sorted!

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Dum-Dum - 13-12-2011

Great news mate!

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - jammapic - 13-12-2011

Think I will need to replumb in the water / oil heat exchanger...

Re: jammapic's XUD 306 DTurbo Track Car - Dum-Dum - 13-12-2011

Nah just maybe 100% cover the oil cooler mate. If it gets much colder im gonna board over half of my rad so the car warms up faster

^^ this, although watch the gaffa tape doesn't melt because that will make a right fecking mess, I would tape some cardboard round it and see how that goes if it was me mate!
