Yep, thats most definitely screwed! ![[Image: CameraandTyreScrew021.jpg]](http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy247/Toms306_photos/CameraandTyreScrew021.jpg) ![[Image: CameraandTyreScrew023.jpg]](http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy247/Toms306_photos/CameraandTyreScrew023.jpg)
Not mine luckily. On my Dads Mondeo, so he asked me to take him and the wheel to get another tyre fitted as he doesnt have a spare to use. We only had an hour to sort it before he needed the car so just had to get raped around Ipswich for a tyre - first place only had a michelin....for £200! Tried a few more and eventually got a cheap budget for.....£83! Anyone thinking of running 17s.....don't bother! Although I know 205/50/17 is an odd size too.

We've replaced a Wanli with a Westlake......I have no idea which was worse lol!

Crikey that is an expensive size. Even the 225/40/18's on my bora were only £55/budget tyre.

I know......couldn't believe it when the first one said £200 for a michelin...thought my Dad was gonna explode! He had 2 new'uns just a month ago at about £80 each or 'Goodride's, I thought he was taking the piss so checked a few tyre places online and they're all well expensive. And I thought Fords were supposed to be cheap motoring lol.

Pfft, V6, 24Valve, full leather heated interior, shit heap Ford!
Still, my diesel is faster than that lol.....oh wait, I mean 'was' faster. Plus it averaged 3 times as much mpg and hadn't done 150k like the Ford.
Edit - but the Ford is still working though........unlike the reliable German motor......hmm....

As I said, even the Golf easily had the Mondeo! It's not as quick as you expect it to be in all honesty, needs another ~50bhp to pull off mpg like that! Does sound fairly epic though!

But back on the topic of the forum...........theres a nice shiny diablo phase 2 '6 in the carpark of my Dad's flats...don't suppose its anyone from here? Has red calipers and green stuff pads if that helps, looks lowered a bit too.
Oh, and it wasn't me, unfortunately.

Not bothered either way, I wasn't paying lol. But they do seem to be expensive wherever you try, whether its because they're uncommon or becuase there's quite a lot of rubber going into that size I dunno.

Yeah but it's not due to the amount of rubber in them, I don't understand why they're highly priced, but it won't be because "there's more rubber"

It's an 'extra load' tyre at that size so there must be something different about it, more rubber or more metal, more of something anyway.
