So, bought it in April 2010 for £300 as an MOT failure. It needed a track rod end and the handbrake needed adjusted, lol.
It had 156k on it at the time and now has 170k on it.
Just got it and debadged it straight away as it had half a novel written across the back!
Got some swallows cheap as it needed new tyres.
The single best thing I did to it. BOSCH PUMP!
Half leather leaf pattern seats I got cheap in the scrappy.
Spoiler.
I've tried lots of things with it over the last couple of years, but as it stands right now, with summer and winter wheels:
Well, since taking those photos I've put the phase 1 tail lights back on, due to one of my reverse lights not working, and it wasn't the bulb. I also have an aerial half the length, from a ph3, because some scrote nicked my flaming eyeball aerial topper and damaged the aerial in the process.
List of mods:
- 15" Steelies for summer, 14" pepperpots for winter
- Leaf Pattern half leathers
- Bosch pump
- Decat
- Stage 1 at 22psi
- Boot spoiler
- Debadged
- Smoothed grille painted matte black (and so are the hockey sticks)
- Black masks
- Cheapy mudflaps
- Wind deflectors
- PURPLE BITS!

I can understand winter and summer wheels if you've got 22's on a Bora or something but why with steelies?
Slammed on the steels ftw! Oh and chunky front bumper ftw!

The winter wheels have winter tyres on them, lol.
The tyres on the steelies would be utter shit in the snow.
I don't have any experience with lowering, but I do want to find a dturbo front bumper.
The purple is Halfords Berry Purple for anybody interested.

No. I have a Thule 3-bike carrier that fits on there nicely.
When I was bored today I started jumping up and down on the towbar and could hear the diesel sloshing around in the fuel tank!

UPDATE:
I've just finished painting the wheels totally black, and the white mirror caps are back on. Stealth look! (and the purple was flaking off with all the brake dust anyway, haha)
I'll get photos later, my phone is nearly dead, and I need to get back to Aberdeen to charge it. I'm at my parents' farm about 35 miles away right now, lol.
I'm on the look out for a straight-through backbox or somebody that could do one for me. Even just a standard backbox with the innards gutted out would be fine. Actually, I think I'd prefer that, for more stealth!
So yeah, in summary, pictures coming later.
EDIT: I'm also on the lookout for a Bianca Ph1 front bumper. Even a poverty spec one without fogs would do, as that's what it has right now. It's just that my front bumper is a bit scabby. It's been like that since I got the car 2 years ago actually, but it's annoying me now.

It could probably do with some new front shocks actually...
If I had the arsed, I'd do a FMIC, move the number plate over to one side, and drill holes in the bumper where the number plate was as well. With it low, that would look evil.

I'm wondering what to do now.
I think one of the engine mounts is on the way out, lots of worrying knocking when I lift off the throttle or depress the clutch. There's also a pretty alarming amount of camber on the left rear wheel.
So it'll need a new engine mount and possibly a rear axle. It's got 172k+ miles on it. Worth it? :|

Well, it ain't an engine mount, they seem fine. God knows what it is. It's been making the noise for a few months now, so I'll just leave it alone!
Here's a random picture taken today at my parents' farm. It's not been lowered, but it bloody looks like it, especially at the rear!

Sucks to see that. There was a road here a few weeks back where some kids smashed a few windows on every car in the street. Nothing stolen, just smashed windows...
Don't understand some people!

Well the guy at National Windscreens said he's had a heap of cars in from my postcode in the last couple of days...
The police even have a description: one on a bike, then one following on foot with a rucksack, then they try to fill the rucksack with anything they nick. He even pointed out the screwdriver marks where they'd shoved a flathead into the window seal then tweaked it. Makes the glass shatter instantly and almost silently. lady gardens.
Also, the glass that's in there now is from a later model so is very very slightly tinted green. I only notice it because I know it's there, lol.
The 'clones are off, and the good tyres from them swapped onto the black steelies, just trying to make it as unremarkable as possible now. The tyres alone were worth more than what I paid you vlj!
