Bit of a boo boo and undid the tensioner and slacking the belt before realising i needed to take the pulley off, got the pulley off and theres no timing mark on the sprocket, so i have no idea how to go about timing it, the cams have white marks that match to white marks on the belt cover and theres a white mark on the block...
I have the head off, so know where the pistons are
Help?

Rotated the crank around and put the pulley back on, put an M8 bolt through the pulley into what im assuming is the pulley locking slot, no movement now.
As the engine is in the car the woodruff is at 9 o'clock, if it was out and totally vertical it would be about 10:30, im assuming you meant 9 when its in the car Paul?
Thank you all for your info, iv only timed an XUD before and that was easy, being able to bolt everything into timing position

I didn't notice that before, nice one! Didn't know the rubber part of the pulley could slip, mines definitely not correct then
